HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V.BHATT COMPANY APPLICATION No.909 OF 2016 IN R.C.C.No.2 OF 1995 ORDER:

This application is filed by the official liquidator seeking approval to the proposed action of the official liquidator for allocation of audit of half yearly accounts for the year 01.10.2015 to 31.03.2016 of 251 companies among the four auditors.

The applicant has annexed copies of orders passed by this Court from time to time appointing auditors to audit the half yearly accounts of various companies in liquidation. On consideration of the circumstances set out in the affidavit I find that the proposed audit is similar with respect to each company, whether transactions exist or not. However, for the purpose of the work to be carried out, in my view, a group of about 65 companies can be distributed to each of the auditor.

The official liquidator, therefore, is permitted to seek assistance of the four auditors' firms as prayed for by allotting to each auditor 65 companies (approximately) and pay audit fee quantified @ Rs.400/- (Rupees four hundred only) per company and submit the audited accounts to the Court for approval.
