ORAL ORDER:

First petitioner claims that her husband died while in service working as Deputy Executive Engineer on 11.4.2018 leaving behind herself and her daughter/second petitioner herein. Petitioners allege that death benefits and appointment on compassionate grounds were not provided to them. Ventilating their grievances to settle the death benefits and to provide appointment on compassionate grounds, representations are made on 12.7.2018 and 21.6.2018.

Heard learned counsel for petitioners, learned Government Pleader for Endowments and learned Standing Counsel for respondents 2 to 5. They agreed for disposal of the writ petition at the admission stage with a direction to pass appropriate orders expeditiously on the representations of the petitioners.

Having regard to the said submission, without going into the merits of the matter, writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representations submitted by first petitioner on 12.7.2018 and 21.6.2018 as warranted by law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
