This Writ Petition is filed alleging that respondents 5 and 6 are not conducting elections to the 7th respondent - Society as per the schedule issued by the 3rd respondent vide proceedings dated 16.07.2018.

When the matter is taken up, learned Government Pleader for Agriculture, on instructions, submits that the voters list was published on 27.08.2018 and on 09.12.2018, General Body of the Society was convened to hear and redress the grievances on the voters list and later voters list was finalized. He would further submit that the election officers were appointed and process to conduct elections to the Managing Committee will be taken immediately.

Having regard to the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the election officer appointed to conduct elections to the 7th respondent - Society to initiate process of conducting elections; fix the schedule and complete the election process within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
