THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE M.GANGA RAO CONTEMPT CASE NO.2246 OF 2018 ORDER: (per SK,J) This contempt case was instituted alleging wilful disobedience to the order dated 23.04.2018 passed in W.P.No.5437 of 2017. However, Sri G.Venkateshwarlu, learned counsel representing Sri K.Lakshman, learned Assistant Solicitor General for India, would inform this Court that pursuant to the interim order, a Memo dated 24.08.2018 was passed by the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Department of Posts, Prakasam Division, Ongole, communicating the rejection of the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment by the Circle Relaxation Committee in its deliberations held on 24.07.2018 and 25.07.2018.

In the light of this new development, no warrant is made out for exercise of contempt jurisdiction. In the event, the petitioner is aggrieved by the Memo dated 24.08.2018, he would necessarily have to take steps before the appropriate forum in accordance with law. Leaving it open to the petitioner to do so, the contempt case is closed. No order as to costs.
