ORDER:

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to declare the action of respondent No.2 in seizing 126 bags of paddy each bag weighing 74 kgs along with lorry bearing No.AP 16U 7675, as illegal and arbitrary. This Court, by order, dated 13.03.2009, in W.P.M.P.No.6743 of 2009, granted interim direction to the respondents not to sell the seized stock while directing release of the seized lorry subject to the petitioner furnishing third party immovable property security for the value of the seized stock to the satisfaction of respondent No.1. At the hearing, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Civil Supplies (AP) submitted that during the pendency of this writ petition, proceedings under Section 6-A of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 (for short 'the Act') were concluded and a final order was passed confiscating 50% of the seized stock.

In the light of the above subsequent development, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of as infructuous. __________________________ C.V.NAGARJUNA REDDY, J 16th September, 2015 GHN
