This Writ Petition is filed for the following relief: ".. to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Direction more particularly in the nature of a 'Writ of mandamus' by declaring the inaction of the 2nd respondent in not processing the petitioner's application for issuance of Prospecting License of Laterite Mineral over an extent of Acs.574.00 in Survey No.628 (Govt. Land) of Ekmamidi Village, Nawabpet Mandal, Ranga Reddy District dt.16.02.2016 and issuing 'No Objection Certificate' as illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional and violative of Article 14 and 19 of Constitution of India and consequently direct the 2nd respondent forthwith issue same and award costs and pass such other order or orders as the Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." 2.

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Government Pleader for Mines and Geology produced a copy of the proceedings, dated 09.11.2016, wherein the application of the petitioner for issuance of Prospective Licence and No Objection Certificate was rejected. In view of the same, the relief as sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted and the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed.

The Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedies as available in law, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the proceedings, dated 09.11.2016. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, filed in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
