The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in deducting crop insurance premium from the loan amounts to be disbursed to the members of the petitioners societies as illegal and arbitrary and for a consequential direction not to deduct any crop insurance from the loans disbursed to the members of the petitioners' societies.

By an order dated 07-07-2010, this Court granted interim stay directing the respondents not to deduct crop insurance premium while disbursing agriculture loans to the members of the petitioners societies.

In view of the interim order passed by this Court and as the loans were already released in favour of the petitioners without

any deduction, this Court is of the view that the cause in the writ petition does not survive any more at this point of time. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
