This petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 2 and 4 in not taking any action on the representation of the petitioner dated 19.03.2018 for conducting enquiry regarding social status of the 5th respondent, as illegal and arbitrary.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that on the complaint of the petitioner, already action is taken by initiating enquiry against the 5th respondent; and that the said enquiry initiated against the 5th respondent is posted to 20.09.2018. Recording the aforesaid written instructions, the writ petition is disposed of. However, it goes without saying that the respondents would take action for completion of enquiry as expeditiously as possible. No order as to costs.
