This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus to declare the action of the respondent authorities in seizing the Oil Tanker bearing registration No.ADP 4739 belonging to the petitioner in connection with the case under Section 6-A of the Essential
Commodities Act, 1955, on 25-03-2009, as illegal and arbitrary. The petitioner sought for a consequential direction to the respondent and his subordinates to release the said oil tanker forthwith.
At the hearing, Mr.N.Siva Reddy, learned Counsel for the petitioner, submitted that the cause in this Writ Petition does not survive for adjudication and that the Writ Petition has become infructuous.
The above-submission of the learned Counsel for the petitioner is placed on record and the Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous.
As a sequel to dismissal of the Writ Petition, WPMP.Nos.9390 & 9527 of 2009, filed by the petitioner for interim relief, are disposed of as infructuous.
