The grievance of the petitioner is that crime was registered on the complaint of the 1st petitioner, but no crime was registered on the complaint of the 2nd petitioner. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed. Heard both sides.

The Apex Court has laid down certain guidelines for registration of F.I.Rs on the complaints made by the aggrieved persons in the judgment in Lalitha Kumari v. Government of Uttar Pradesh1.

In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent-police to take action on the complaints of the petitioners by following the guidelines laid down in Lalitha Kumar's case cited supra, if not already followed.
