Heard counsel for petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration & Urban Development and Sri Sampath Prabhakar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for GHMC, appearing for the respondents.

Notice, bearing No.(2)/UC/W.No.120/CIR-24/WZ/GHMC, dated 07.08.2018, calling upon the petitioner to show cause as to why portion of the construction made by him should not be demolished on the ground that the same is an unauthorised one, is under challenge in the present Writ Petition. Since the impugned notice is only a show cause notice, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition, giving liberty to the petitioner herein to file an appropriate explanation, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and if any such explanation is filed, the respondent-GHMC to consider the same and take further action/pass appropriate orders, strictly in accordance with law. It is made clear that, if no explanation is filed, within the time stipulated above, this order will not enure to the benefit of the petitioner. It is also made clear that, pending consideration of

the explanation, there shall be no coercive action and the petitioner shall not make any further construction. Accordingly, Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
