THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI Writ Petition No. 11569 of 2015 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief:

"The Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in opening and continuing the suspect sheet against the petitioner in Gandepalli PS, East-Godavari District as illegal, arbitrary and violative of the fundamental rights guaranteed under the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to close the suspect sheet against the petitioner in this regard and pass such other orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home.

The Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Peddapuram, the 3rd respondent herein filed a counter-affidavit, stating that through the proceedings dated 24-02-2015 in C.No.56/Genl/SDPO/2015, the suspect sheet against the petitioner was closed. In view of the same, nothing survives for adjudication in the writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly closed.

The miscellaneous petitions, if any, filed in the writ petition shall also stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
