This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short, 'Cr.P.C.') to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.354 of 2010 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kurnool, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A r/w 34 IPC and Section 3 and 4 of DP Act.

2. Sri J. Janaki Rami Reddy, learned counsel for Petitioners represented that the matter was already settled before Lok Adalat and an Award dt. 11.11.2016 has been passed by the Lok Adalat. Hence, the petition may be quashed.

In view of the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the settlement arrived before the Lok Adalat and it is in the interest of both parties, it is a fit case to quash the proceedings.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal petition is allowed quashing the Proceedings in C.C.No.354 of 2010 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kurnool.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
