The petitioner was removed from service. The appeal and the revision preferred by him were rejected by the appellate and revisional authorities. Thereafter, the petitioner preferred a mercy petition to the Executive Director on 19.04.2018. Alleging inaction on the said mercy petition, this writ petition is filed.

Since the petitioner has availed the remedy by way of mercy petition and the same is stated to be pending consideration before the Executive Director, the writ petition is disposed of, without expressing any opinion on merits, directing the Executive Director to consider the mercy petition on its merits and to pass appropriate orders warranted by law within eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
