Aggrieved by action of respondent No.3 in interfering with life and liberty of the petitioners and making them to sit in the police station without therebeing any complaint and threatening to settle the family dispute with respondent No.5, the present writ petition is filed.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that complaint is received from respondent No.5 on 02-02-2018 and GD entry was made and after counselling the parties, further course of action will be taken as it is a family dispute. Respondent No.3 tried to contact both the parties for counselling, but they did not turn-up. The other allegations are denied. Recording the same, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent-police not to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioners except in accordance with law. Since it is stated that the issue involved is family dispute, the respondent-police are obligated to follow the guidelines laid down by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma v. State of U.P., (Crl.A.No.1265 of 2017, dated 27-07-2017 (SLP (Crl.No.2013 of 2017).
