ORAL ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned standing counsel for respondents Sri N Shiva Reddy and with their consent the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

Petitioners claimed to have worked as contract employees till 2012 and in the year 2012 they were disengaged. Aggrieved by the said disengagement, petitioners filed W.P.No.1251 of 2012 and the said writ petition is pending consideration before this Court. Thus, from the year 2012, petitioners are not in service. Petitioners filed this writ petition claiming that they should be considered in preference to freshers who may be engaged in 33/11 Indoor KV Sub Station, Market Yard, Proddutur, YSR Kadapa district, which is likely to be commissioned shortly and there is possibility of engaging Shift Operators on contract basis. Petitioners claim that having regard to the fact that earlier they worked till 2012 they should be considered. Petitioners also submitted representation dated 25.7.2018 wherein they seek preferential consideration over the others who may be engaged. 3.

As briefly noted above, petitioners were employed by the contractor and disengaged in the year 2012. In other words, they have not been working for the last six years, therefore, no direction can be issued to engage them afresh in the newly established Sub Station. If petitioners are otherwise eligible, it is always open to them to apply whenever selection process is undertaken.

Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
