ORDER:
The challenge in the present writ petition is to the inaction on the part of respondents 2 and 3 in considering the application of the petitioner society dated 13.5.2015 for grant of quarry lease for granite and marble in respect of land admeasuring 3 Hectares in Sy.No.1099 of Cheruvumadaram village, Nelakondapally mandal, Khammam district.
2. According to the petitioner, it has made an application for grant of quarry lease for granite and marble on 13.5.2015 in accordance with the provisions of A.P. Minor Mineral Concession Rules, 1966. It is also stated in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition that the 3rd respondent-Assistant Director of Mines and Geology, Khammam requested the 5th respondent-Tahsildar, Nelakondapally mandal to clarify the status of the land and to send a report. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though the petitioner made the application as long back as on 13.5.2015, no action has been taken by the respondent authorities.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has made a request that the respondents may be directed to take appropriate action on the quarry lease application dated 13.5.2015 submitted by the petitioner herein by fixing some time frame. This Court considers the same as reasonable one.
4. For the aforesaid reasons, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents herein to take appropriate action on the quarry lease application dated 13.5.2015 submitted by the petitioner for grant of quarry lease for granite and marble in respect of land
admeasuring 3 Hectares in Sy.No.1099 of Cheruvumadharam village, Nelakondapally mandal, Khammam district and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of this order. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ______________ A.V.SESHA SAI, J Date: 28.7.2015 DA
