This writ petition is filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to incorporate the names of the petitioners 2 to 4 in the Revenue Records like Adangal / Pahani, Fair Adangal, 10(1) Account, Diglot A-Regiter and the Registeres maintained under Record of Rights Act, as per the terms of the Registered Gift Deeds dated 17.10.2006 and to mutate their names.

The case of the petitioners is that the 1st petitioner is the owner of a property to an extent of Ac.62.45 cents of land covered by Sy.Nos.212/2, 5, 8, 12, 14, and 17 of Daminedu Rural Village Tirupati Rural, Chittoor District. After Inam Abolition Act the Settlement Officer after due enquiry granted pattas in favour of the 1st petitioner, who sold away a part of the property to third parties whose names were also incorporated in the revenue records. Thereafter, the 1st petitioner executed two gift deeds in the year 2006 one jointly creating interest in favour of his two sons i.e., petitioners 2 and 3, and another gift deed in favour of his daughter-in-law i.e., the 4th petitioner herein. Thereafter, he filed application on 23.04.2011 before the concerned authorities seeking mutation in consonance with the terms of registered gift deeds.

As there was no response, a reminder dated 27.01.2012 was also sent but in vain. Hence the petitioners filed the present writ petition. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners made application dated 23.04.2011 but the same was unattended to till date. Therefore, he submits that a direction may be issued to the 3rd respondent-Tahsildar to pass appropriate orders on the said application.

Having regard to the relief sought for by the petitioners, without going into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent-Tahsildar, Tirupati Rural Mandal to dispose of the application dated 23.04.2011 submitted by the petitioners, if it is still pending, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

No order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
