Narsimhulu v. The State Of A.P.,
HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.KESHAVA RAO W.P.No.2175 of 2014 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents. The prayer sought in this Writ Petition is as under: "... to issue writ or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent and his subordinates in calling the petitioners to the Police Station House, Narayanpet, daily under the guise of suspects by threatening and taking their signatures since last one year as arbitrary, illegal and to pass such other order or orders this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case in the interest of justice."
During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners informed this Court that after the filing of the present Writ Petition, the respondent Police stopped calling the petitioners to the Police Station.
Learned Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, submits that the petitioners were never called to the Police Station. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause survives in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. No order as to costs. As a sequel, the Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed.
