ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the representation of the petitioners dated 11.05.2015 whereunder they sought conversion of their posts from Non-Technical Work Inspectors to the posts of Technical Work Inspectors, as arbitrary and illegal. The petitioners were appointed as NonTechnical Work Inspectors in the respondentCorporation and their services were regularized in the said post. Thereafter, the petitioners were appointed as MICs and as of now, they are working as NTWI/MIC in Pitchunur and Madanapally Mandal, Chittoor District. While so, the petitioners passed T.Engineering (Civil) Examination, which is equivalent to Diploma in Civil Engineering from the institution of Civil Engineers (India) Ludiana, in February, 2010 and 2012 respectively. The All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, vide proceedings dated 16.09.2008, recognized the degree/diploma conducted by the Institution of Civil Engineers (India), Ludhiana, as equivalent to Diploma in Civil Engineering. The Government of

India, Ministry of HRD, Department of Higher Education, Principal Secretary to Government, Irrigation & CAD Department, State Board of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education also clarified that the T.Engineering Course conducted by the Institution of Civil Engineers (India), Ludiana (Punjab) is equivalent to Diploma in Civil Engineering, which is approved by the AICTE.

Pursuant thereto, the petitioners are eligible for conversion of their posts from Non Technical Work Inspectors to Technical Work Inspectors.

The grievance of the petitioners is that though they acquired requisite qualification for conversion of their posts from Non Technical Work Inspectors to Technical Work Inspectors, their cases were not considered and their representation dated 11.05.2015 is pending before the respondents. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 11.05.2015 made by the petitioners and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this

order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
