HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M. SATYANARAYANA MURTHY CRIMINAL PETITION No.8992 OF 2018 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, is filed by the petitioners/A-1 to A-6 to quash the proceedings in Crime No.219 of 2018 of Sircilla Police Station, Rajanna Sircilla District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 323 and 506 R/w.34 I.P.C. and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. 2.

After arguing the case for awhile, learned counsel for the petitioners requested this Court to direct the concerned S.H.O. to follow the procedure laid down by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma Vs. State of U.P.1.

Acceding to the request of learned counsel for the petitioners, without touching the merits of the case, I find that it is a fit case to issue direction to the Police to follow the procedure laid down by the Apex Court in Rajesh Sharma (supra). Accordingly, the police concerned are directed to adhere to the guidelines issued in Rajesh Sharma (supra). 4.

With the above directions, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed in consequence.
