Heard counsel for the petitioner and Sri B.Narayana Reddy, Assistant Solicitor General appearing for respondents. 2.
Petitioner was employed as a Constable in the Central Reserve Police Force. Petitioner absented himself from duty for a period of 83 days, because of which an order dt.03.08.2016 was passed by the 4th respondent terminating his services.

Petitioner preferred an appeal to the 3rd respondent on 27.08.2016 giving detailed reasons for his absence from duty and requesting reinstatement into service. Petitioner contends that the said appeal is still pending before the 3rd respondent and the 3rd respondent be directed to dispose of the same within a specified time.

Sri B.Narayana Reddy, Assistant Solicitor General appearing for respondents states that the 3rd respondent will decide the appeal filed by the petitioner on 27.08.2016 within a period of two (02) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioner.

In view of the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to decide the appeal
filed by the petitioner on 27.08.2016 within a period of two
(02) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
