THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.33445 of 2015

ORDER :

The petitioners claim to be belonging to Magguru Village, Vangara Mandal, Srikakulam District. The petitioners claim monthly pension in accordance with National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), which is launched in the State of Andhra Pradesh as "INDIRAMMA" programme. Earlier the claims of the petitioners was not recommended by the Village Level Committee. At that stage, petitioners represented to Local Member of Legislative Assembly and on his recommendations the District Project Director, DRDA, Srikakulam (4th respondent) directed the Mandal Parishad Development Officer, (6th respondent) to enquire into the matter and submit a report. Accordingly, the 6th respondent submitted his report dated 10.12.2014.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that the names of the petitioners were recommended by the 6th respondent, but so far no action is taken.

3. Having regard to the fact that the 6th respondent has already submitted his report to the Project Director, DRDA, Srikakulam, on 10.12.2014, this Writ petition is disposed of directing the Project Director, DRDA, Srikakulam to consider the report submitted by the 6th respondent dated 10.12.2014 and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law. If all the petitioners or any of them found to be eligible for grant of pension under the scheme launched by the Central Government as well as State Government, the same shall be granted to them. The entire process shall be completed as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. __________________ P.NAVEEN RAO,J 12th October, 2015.
