THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO. 21696 of 2017 ORDER :

Heard both sides. With the consent of both parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondent No. 2 in not conducting and completing investigation in Crime No.402 of 2016 of Alwal Police Station, Cyberabad, dated 21.09.2016, registered for an offence punishable under Section 420 of IPC, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to respondent No.2 to complete the investigation, at the earliest, and file a final report. 4.

Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, states that the investigation is still going on and as soon as it is completed, final report would be filed. 5.

Having regard to the submission made across the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to complete the investigation in Crime No.402 of 2016 of Alwal Police Station, Cyberabad, dated 21.09.2016, as early as possible, preferably within a period of three to six months and file a final report, in accordance with law. No costs.
