HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.44633 of 2016 ORDER:

1.

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to direct the official respondents not to call the petitioner or any of his family members to the police stations and harass them. 2.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

It is the case of the petitioner that as the 6th respondent deserted him, he married another girl in the year 1997. While so, on 24.7.2016, the 1st respondent-police called the petitioner and forced him to execute a deed in favour of his daughter-7th respondent born through the 6th respondent and he executed a document promising to transfer Ac.1.20 cents of land and since then, the police are calling the petitioner to the police stations and forcing him to sell the property in favour of third parties or to execute a registered deed in favour of the 7th respondent. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:

"The Official respondents are directed not to call the petitioner or his family members to the police station without there being any crime. However, this order does not stand in the way of the official respondents in proceeding against the petitioner or his family members, if any crime is registered against them for any cognizable offence."

5.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ________________ RAJA ELANGO, J Date: 21st December, 2016 Nn
