This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/A1 to A3, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, seeking to quash F.I.R.No.95 of 2014 on the file of Bhattiprole Police Station, Guntur District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A I.P.C. and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the State.
3. A perusal of the record would show that there is material, prima facie, sufficient to investigate into the allegations made against the petitioners in the F.I.R. There are no valid grounds to quash the F.I.R.
4 . In the facts and circumstances of the case and as requested by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the Criminal Petition is disposed of directing the Station House Officer, Bhattiprole Police Station, Guntur District, not to arrest petitioners 2 and 3/A2 and A3, till filing of the charge sheet. However, investigation shall continue to its logical end and the petitioners shall co-operate with the Investigating Agency for smooth completion of the investigation.
As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in the Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
