HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITON No.25788 of 2008 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the order dated 20-11-2008 in O.P.No.5 of 2006 on the file of Election Tribunal-cum-Junior Civil Judge, Devarakonda, Nalgonda District. The said O.P. was filed by the 1st respondent herein to declare the election of the writ petitioner herein as illegal and void and to declare her as duly elected to the post of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayath, Vinjamoor Village, Chinthapally Mandal of Nalgonda District. The Tribunal allowed the said OP and declared the election of writ petitioner to the post of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat as illegal and set aside the same by declaring the 1st respondent herein as duly elected to the said post.

At the time of admission, this Court granted interim suspension on 26-11-2008 and the same was confirmed in W.A.No.78 of 2009. The elections were held in the year 2006. By afflux of time, the term of office for the post of Sarpanch is expired.

In view of the same, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication and the same has become infructuous. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
