THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 27519 OF 2017 O R D E R:

The complaint of the petitioner is that the respondents, particularly Respondents 2 and 3 - Inspector of Police, Kodumur Circle and Sub-Inspector of Police, Gonegandla Police Station have been interfering with his personal liberty by summoning him to the police station, without there being any crime registered against him.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned Government Pleader for Home (Andhra Pradesh) has secured written instructions from the Sub-Inspector of Police, Gonegandla Police Station, wherein, it has been stated that based on the complaint given by the 5th respondent herein, a case in Crime No. 133 of 2017 has been registered on 07.08.2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 341 and 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code on the file of Gonegandla Police Station and investigation has been taken up strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The allegation of the petitioner that the police have been summoning him to the Police Station day-in and day-out has been denied. Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of. The copy of the written instructions has been taken on record. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous Applications, if any shall stand closed.
