Yes/No THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE R.SUBHASH REDDY AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY CONTEMPT CASE No.1359 of 2014 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice R.Subhash Reddy) This contempt case, under Sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, is filed on the ground that the respondent herein has violated the directions issued by this Court in the order dated 05.09.203 passed in W.A.No.791 of 2008.

The learned Single Judge, by order dated 31.12.2007 in W.P.No.12884 of 2007, while setting aside the orders by which the appointment of the petitioners was kept in abeyance, directed to reinstate the petitioners into service forthwith with continuity of service, but without back wages. The said order was confirmed by order dated 05.09.2013 in W.A.No.791 of 2008, which was disposed of along with connected matters.

When the matter is called for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the Eastern Power Distribution Company has produced a copy of the letter dated 10.08.2015 addressed by the Superintending Engineer, Operation Circle, Eluru to the Chief General Manager (HRD), Corporate Office, Visakhapatnam, enclosing copies of the appointment orders issued to the petitioners reinstating them into service. In view of the appointment orders issued by the respondent Company in terms of the orders passed by this Court, we do not find any merit in this matter to proceed further under the provisions of the Contempt of Courts Act Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed. However, the issue with regard to the benefit of seniority is left open to the petitioners.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
