O R D E R

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to declare the action of respondents 2 and 3 in opening and continuing Rowdy Sheet against the petitioner, as illegal, arbitrary and violative of A.P. Police Standing Order 742 and contrary to the principles of natural justice and consequently direct the said respondents, to close the rowdy sheet.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this court in similar facts and circumstances in W.P.No.4688 of 2012 dated 16.03.2017, relying on other judgments of this court, gave liberty to the petitioner therein to file explanation / representation within two weeks from the date of the said order and the competent authority was directed to examine the same and pass appropriate orders.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, does not dispute the same.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions of the learned counsel, writ petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to file explanation / representation within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the competent authority to examine the said representation in the light of the law laid down by this court in W.P.No.4688 of 2012, which was disposed of on 16.03.2017 and in the judgments reported in SUNKARA SATYANARAYANA v. STATE OF ANDHRA PRADESH1 and B.SATYANARAYANA REDDY v. STATE OF ANDHRA 1 2000(1) ALD (Crl.) 177 (AP)

PRADESH2, and dispose of the same in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of representation. Interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
