THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.5976 OF 2016 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 by the petitioners/A-1 to A-37 seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.54 of 2016 on the file of Station House Officer, Alamuru Police Station, East Godavari District.

2. Heard and perused the material available on record.

3. The offences alleged against the petitioners are punishable under Sections 148 and 324 read with 149 I.P.C. and Section 3(1)(r)(s) (t) & (u) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015.

4. Considering the said facts and circumstances, the police concerned are directed to complete the investigation and file a final report, if any, without arresting the petitioners. Further, the petitioners are directed to appear before the police concerned on or before 10.5.2016 and execute a bond for a sum of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) each with one surety for the like sum each for their future appearance.

5. With the above directions, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
