Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents.

The petitioner made an application on 04.02.2016 with respondent No.2, seeking conversion of his agricultural land for non-agricultural purpose under the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural Land (Conversion for Non-Agricultural Purposes) Act, 2006. The petitioner contends that the respondents have not passed any orders thereon, though more than two months has been elapsed since the application made by the petitioner. Since sixty(60) days time is prescribed under the Act for dealing with these applications, respondent No.2 is directed to pass orders on the application of the petitioner within four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioner. Therefore, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to pass orders on the application of the petitioner, within four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate his decision thereon to the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, the miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand dismissed.
