- 2 - THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.27306 OF 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief : "....declaring the action of the respondents in placing the petitioner at Serial No.17 in the provisional seniority list dated 13.09.2012 of the Regional Managers/Head of Department below the Respondent No.4 and 5 instead of at Serial No.14 including the action in inserting the Minute No.1/2008 dated 09.09.2008 and preparing select panel of the Regional Managers/Head of the Department in the descending order of marks secured and placing the petitioner at serial No.4 instead of at serial No.2 is arbitrary, unjust without jurisdiction, contrary to Recruitment Regulations and Service Regulations and in violation of Article 14, Article 16 and Article 21 of the Constitution of India, set aside the same to that extent and consequently direct the Respondents to place the petitioner above the Respondent No.4 and 5 in the select list of Regional Managers and in provisional seniority of the Regional Managers/Head of Department......"

When the matter is taken up, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation, informs the Court that petitioner was promoted and subsequently, he retired from service.

In view of the statement of learned Standing Counsel, the cause in the writ petition does not survive.
