Heard.

The petitioner states that he and others are working as employees in the Mandal Revenue Office of Nandigama and they do not have any house site.

They applied for allotment of house sites in R.S.No.665/1 of Nandigama Village and Mandal, Krishna District, on payment of market value to the extent of 5 cents each. The representation of the petitioner made to the 2nd respondent on 15-12-1999 is produced as Ex.P-1. The petitioner is one among the applicants.

The said application was recommended by the 3rd respondent on 09-03-2000 and thereafter, when the petitioner approached the Government for early resolution, under Government Memo, dated 11-08-2004, the petitioner's representation was forwarded to the 2nd respondent for necessary action. The petitioner also made a representation before the 2nd respondent on 10-12-2013.

Complaining that no further action is taken and the proposal remain undecided, the present writ petition is filed. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that as the petitioner is already aged 62 years, he requires assistance and his application deserves to be considered and appropriate orders to be passed at the earliest. Learned counsel for the petitioner has produced one more Memo, dated 03-10-2015 issued by the Government forwarding the request of the petitioner to the 2nd respondent to examine and take necessary action in the matter as per the relevant statute and the Rules. Since the Government required the 2nd respondent to examine the petitioner's request and take appropriate decision and since it is apparent that the petitioner's request is still pending with the 2nd respondent, the 2nd respondent is directed to examine the said request of the petitioner on its

own merit in accordance with the relevant statute and the Rules and the Policy of the State and take appropriate decision either at the place identified by the petitioner or any other place as it deems appropriate expeditiously, preferably within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
