THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.17399 OF 2016 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home. With consent of both the counsel, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 2 . The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 4th respondent in not making any investigation though the case was registered against accused Nos.1 to 4 in Crime No.188 of 2015 on 23.09.2015 for the offences punishable under Section 324 read with 34 IPC and Section 3(1)(x) of the SC/ST (POA) Act, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently, to direct respondents 3 and 4 to complete the investigation in the above crime at the earliest.

3. Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the 4th respondent to complete the investigation within a specified time.

4. Learned Government Pleader for Home did not dispute the same.

5. Having regard to the circumstances stated above, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.188 of 2015 registered against the accused for the offences punishable under Section 324 read with 34 IPC and Section 3(1)(x) of the SC/ST (POA) Act, in accordance

with law, as early as possible preferably within a period of four

(04) to six (06) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
