THE HON'BLE SMT. JUSTICE G. ANUPAMA CHAKRAVARTHY CRIMINAL PETITION No.2451 of 2014 ORDER :

This criminal petition is filed seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.474 of 2012 on the file of Central Crime Police Station, Hyderabad registered for the offences punishable under sections 498-A and 406 of I.P.C and Sections 4 and 6 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

It is reported by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the complainant in this case is no more, therefore, the question of proceeding further with the matter does not arise. 3.

Therefore considering the said fact, this Court is of the considered view that the Station House Officer of the concerned police station is directed to proceed with the investigation, if any, but not to arrest the petitioner, as the stay was granted in the year,2014 itself. The police shall verify as to the death of the complainant and if anything survives, proceed with the matter and if nothing survives, close the matter.

With the above said observation, the criminal petition is closed.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
