HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.30736 OF 2018 ORDER :

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the 3rd respondent in not completing investigation in Crime No.27/2018, dated 22.01.2018, on the file of the Pattabhipuram Police Station, Guntur, registered against the respondents 4 to 7, for the offences punishable under Sections 354, 509, R/W 34 IPC. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that during the course of investigation in Crime No.27/2018, the Investigating Officer examined 3 witnesses and recorded their statements; that the Sub-Inspector of Police issued notice under Section 41-A Cr.P.C. to the accused on 25.01.2018, and thereafter the S.I was transferred; that further investigation took up by the successor Sub Inspector of Police who prepared draft charge sheet and sent the same for legal opinion to the Assistant Public Prosecutor.

In view of the aforesaid written instructions submitted by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to file charge sheet within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
