ORDER:

Heard.

2. Petitioner is the mother of Convict No.9709, who is stated to be undergoing life imprisonment in Central prison, Kadapa. She has sought grant of parole to the said convict and alleging that her representation is not being considered and not granting parole to him, the present writ petition is filed.

3. Instructions of the learned Government Pleader show that the Superintendent of Jails has already sent his report to the Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department, on 26.03.2015 and the orders of the Government are awaited as the report of the Superintendent, Central Prison, Kadapa District, is called for.

4. Since the Government is seized of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.1 to take appropriate decision in the matter after obtaining necessary report from the concerned authorities as expeditiously as possible. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
