HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.5382 OF 2008 ORDER:

In this Writ Petition, petitioners challenge draft declaration dated 08.02.2008 issued under Section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that, considering the purpose for which land was proposed to be acquired, petitioners had consented for acquisition; thereafter, consent award was passed on 31.03.2008; and, as such, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, closed.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
