THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.25745 of 2015 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:

"to issue writ of Mandamus directing the respondents particularly 4th respondent to grant additional unit of 50 students as per Regulations, 2014 in favour of all the petitioners for the Academic Year 2014-2015 by considering the representations and affidavits submitted by the petitioners in the month of January, 2015 by declaring the inaction on the part of the respondents is illegal, arbitrary and violative of Articles 14, 19 (1)(g) of the Constitution of India." Heard Sri Pratyusha Appari, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Education for respondents, apart from perusing the material available before this Court.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners during the course of arguments that for redressal of the grievance of the petitioners they made representations, dated 06-01-2014 and 19-01-2015 to the 4th respondent herein and the same have not been addressed and no action has been taken by the 4th respondent on the said representations. Learned counsel requested this Court to issue necessary directions to the 4th respondent to take appropriate action on the said representations. This Court considered the said request of the petitioners as reasonable.

For the aforesaid reasons, without expressing any opinion on the merits and demerits on the issue, writ petition is disposed

of, directing the 4th respondent herein to take appropriate action on the representations, dated 06-01-2014 and 19-01-2015 said to have been submitted by the petitioners herein within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. There shall be no order as to costs. ___________________ A.V.
