HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 30930 of 2018 ORDER:

1) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Government Pleader for Revenue (AP). With consent of both the parties, the writ petition being heard at the admission stage itself. 2) The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the third respondent in not considering the appeal dated 16.05.2018 filed by the petitioner, against the orders of the fourth respondent in Roc.A/ 225/ 2018, dated 30.04.2018, rejecting the application for mutation of petitioner's name in the revenue records pertaining to the land admeasuring Ac.0.42 1⁄2 cents in Sy.No.149/ 7 situated at Panagal Village, Srikalahasti Mandal, Chittoor District, as illegal and arbitrary.

3) Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, the grievance of the petitioner is that though the appeal was filed on 16.05.2018, till date no orders are passed either in the appeal or in the stay application filed along with the appeal. 4) The Government Pleader for Revenue (AP) would submit that a direction may be issued to the concerned for an early disposal of the appeal.

5) Without going into the merits of the case and having regard to the submissions made, the present writ petition is disposed of,

directing the third respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner against the order of the fourth respondent in Proceedings Roc.No.A/ 225/ 2018, dated 30.04.2018, after hearing all the concerned including the petitioner, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six

(06) months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. However, if there is an application for stay is made, the same shall be dealt with in accordance with law, preferably, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs.

6) Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
