Petitioner contends that initially his name was mutated in the revenue records concerning the land to an extent of Ac.11-19 guntas at Damarakunta Revenue Village of Kataram Mandal. On Revision the Revenue Divisional Officer, Manthani, reversed the decision of Tahsildar. Aggrieved thereby, petitioner preferred Appeal before the Collector & District Magistrate which is assigned as Appeal No.1803 of 2011 and the same is pending consideration, even though notices were issued in the year 2015, but so far no orders are passed.

If what is stated by the petitioner is true, the appellate authority cannot be expected to keep such appeal pending for such a long time. Thus, the appellate authority is directed to dispose of the appeal, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after putting on notice the affected parties as well as the petitioner. 4.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
