HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.15415 of 2017 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner is that he applied for renewal of Mineral Dealers licence on 19.07.2016, which was valid for one year and due for expiry on 02.05.2017. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner made application dated 10.01.2017 seeking renewal of Mineral Dealers licence.

Learned Government Pleader for Mines and Geology opposes the Writ Petition stating that, on account of change in sand policy, Mineral Dealers licence has been done away; and there is no requirement for Mineral Dealers licence as no private persons have dealings in sand. Having considered the respective submissions, and considering the prayer of the petitioner, the application dated 10.01.2017 made by the petitioner may be directed to be considered in accordance with law as no prejudice would be caused.

Without expressing any opinion, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent - authorities to consider the request of the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Consequently, the miscellaneous applications, if any shall also stand disposed of.
