W.P.No.31028/2018 THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE V. RAMASUBRAMANI AN THE HON'BLE MS. JUSTI CE J. UMA DEVI WRI T PETI TI ON No.31028 of 2018 ORDER: (Per VRS,J.) The petitioners have come up with the above writ petition seeking a Mandamus to direct the respondents to frame guidelines for filling up of the vacancies, which are left after the mop up round of counselling is over.
2. Heard Mr. P. Bhaskar, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr. A. Prabhakar Rao, learned counsel takes notice for the university.
3. Mop up counseling is over yesterday. After the mop up counseling is over any seats left unfilled will revert back to the management quota. There cannot be any guidelines for the filling up of those seats under the management quota, since it is the prerogative of those colleges to fill up. All that can be done is that the petitioners should approach those colleges and find out the availability of any vacancy. Since it is a race against the time, it is not possible for the colleges to get back to the university within the time schedule, notify if there is availability of vacancies and thereafter issue publication etc.
4. Hence leaving it open to the petitioners to approach the private un-aided colleges, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
