V.Ravinder, Aged about 31 years, Occu:Housewife, r/o. 9-58/20, Bank Colony, Pathireddypally village, Sangareddy District. .....Petitioner and Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank, Rep.by its Chairman, Door No.2-5-8/1, Ramnagar, Hanmakonda, Warangal (City & District), Telangana State.
.....Respondent The Court made the following:
HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.6687 of 2017 ORDER:
Father of the petitioner was an employee of Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank. He died on 18.07.2008. Petitioner claimed that representation was made by her on 09.12.2016 to provide employment on compassionate grounds in view of the death of her father. Alleging that no reply is furnished and employment is not provided, this writ petition is filed.
2.
When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned standing counsel submits that there is no scheme of compassionate appointment in the respondent-Bank and, therefore, no employment was provided. In lieu of compassionate appointment, respondentBank grants ex-gratia. Accordingly, an amount of 8,00,000/- was granted as ex-gratia to the wife of late employee. 3.
Having regard to the fact that ex-gratia was already granted and there is no scheme of compassionate appointments in the respondent-Bank, no direction as sought for can be granted. Moreover, father of the petitioner died in the year 2008 and ex-gratia was received in the year 2010 and the claim of compassionate appointment is made six years later. Having regard to these facts, writ petition deserves to be dismissed in limini and is accordingly dismissed.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ___________________________ JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO Date: 08.03.2017 kkm
