THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.31853 OF 2017 ORDER:

Against the order dated 26.08.2017 of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Karimnagar, passed under Section 5 (5) of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar Passbooks Act, 1971 cancelling mutation granted in favour of the petitioner, the petitioner preferred revision along with an application for stay of the order passed by the original authority. Alleging inaction on the stay application filed by the petitioner, this Writ Petition is filed. 2.

Having regard to the facts of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Joint Collector, Karimnagar District, to consider the prayer sought by the petitioner in the application to grant stay as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending consideration of such application, the parties are directed to maintain status quo obtaining as on today. It is also made clear that there is no expression of opinion on merits of the case. The parties are entitled to raise all objections as available in law and the revisional authority is directed to put the affected parties on notice before considering the stay application. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the Writ Petition shall stand closed.
