THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.30371 OF 2015 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief:

"to issue a writ, order or direction more in the nature of Mandamus declaring the action of the 2nd Respondent in not issuing police license for running of a business in the name & style of M/s. KNIKKS CLUB Premises at Plot No.42 &43, H.No.9-7, First Floor, Sri Vatsav Towers Commercial Complex, Ground floor, Manasarover Heights, Phase-2 RTC Colony, Trimulgherry, Secundrabad-9, Ranga Reddy District inspite of the Application dt.28-08- 2015 as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the relevant provisions under the Hyderabad City Police Act r/w Cyberabad Metropolitan Act 2004 and consequently direct the 2nd Respondent to issue of Police License to Petitioner to run the business in the name & style of M/s. KNIKKS CLUB Premises at Plot No.42 &43, H.No.9-7, First Floor, Sri Vatsav Towers Commercial Complex, Ground floor, Manasarover Heights, Phase-2, RTC Colony, Trimulgherry, Secundrabad-9, Ranga Reddy District and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

2. Heard Sri Kuruva Naganna, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents.

When the matter is called today, written instructions dated 23.09.2015 furnished by the Sub Inspector of Police, Alwal Police Station, have been placed on record by the learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents. As per the said instructions, the petitioner herein submitted an application on 28.08.2015 seeking police license for running a business in the name and style of M/s. KNIKKS Club premises at Plot No.42 and 43, H.No.97, First Floor, Sri Vastsav Towers, Commercial Complex, Ground floor, Manasarover Heights, Phase-2, RTC Colongy, Trimulgherry, Secunderabad. It is further stated in the said instructions that upon

receipt of the said application, the same was forwarded to the Station House Officer, Alwal Police Station, to conduct enquiry into the application and to submit a report and at present, the enquiry is under process and appropriate orders will be passed on the application of the petitioner herein, as expeditiously as possible and the same will be communicated to him.

4. On noticing the said instructions, learned counsel for the petitioner requested this court to dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent police authorities to take appropriate action, as expeditiously as possible, by fixing some time frame.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent police authorities to pass appropriate orders on the application submitted by the petitioner herein on 28.08.2015, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration, if any, in the Writ Petition shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs. __________________ A.V.SESHA SAI, J 28th September, 2015 SS
