ORAL ORDER:
Aggrieved by the order of dismissal from service dated 12.1.2018, petitioner preferred appeal to the Appellate Authority on 12.2.2018. Alleging inaction in disposing of the appeal, the petitioner filed this writ petition.

Heard learned counsel for petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare and learned standing counsel for second respondent and with their consent the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

Since petitioner has availed the appeal remedy and same is stated to be pending before the Appellate Authority, without expressing any opinion on merits of the matter, writ petition is disposed of directing the Appellate Authority to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 12.2.2018, if the same is already not disposed of, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, are closed.
