HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.44323 of 2016 ORDER:
The present writ petition is filed by the petitioners seeking to declare the action of the 2nd respondent in calling the petitioners to the police station under the guise of investigation and threatening them to foist false cases, without there being any case registered against them, as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently, direct the 3rd respondent not to harass the petitioners by calling to the police station without following due process of law.
Heard and perused the material available on record. The grievance of the petitioners is that the 2nd respondent is calling them to the police station under the guise of investigation and threatening them with dire consequences and also to foist false cases against them, without there being any complaint or case registered against them. Considering the grievance of the petitioners, without going into the merits of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following order: The Station House Officer, Vemulapalli Women Police Station, Nalgonda District - 2nd respondent, is directed not to harass the petitioners and not to call them to the police station, without there being any case registered against them, and if there is any compliant is filed against them, the police concerned are directed to follow procedure as per law. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending if any, shall stand closed. ______________ RAJA ELANGO, J December 20, 2016.
