THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 6436 of 2016 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner was that the police authorities were not receiving her complaint and taking appropriate action thereon in accordance with law.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Women Police Station, Eluru, furnished written instructions to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home, wherein he stated that basing upon the complaint received from the petitioner, Crime No.10 of 2016 was registered on the file of the Women Police Station, Eluru, under Sections 498A and 506 IPC r/w Section 34 IPC along with Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. 3.

In the light of this development, the grievance of the petitioner stands settled.

The Writ Petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order.

No order as to costs.
